Agu Display

Agu Display is a decorative display typeface by Seun Badejo inspired by Nsibidi radicals. As part of the launch of Agu Display as a Google Font, We collaborated with Seun Badejo to create a specimen site for the typeface

For the site and its elements, we took inspiration from Nsibidi Symbols and the culture around them. The color themes for the site for example are based on mediums Nsibidi was often inscribed on, pottery and the usually blue ukara cloth.

We built a custom sticker generator for visitors to share on social media, based on themes Nsibidi writing historically covered, such as love, power and valor.

Working with Studio Null was very seamless. The partners were able to make the process feel like a collaborative experience while still maintaining a very high bar for quality. They displayed a high sense of judgement when it came to visual quality and executive clarity.
